The BASNET Survivors Panel:
The aim of BASNET Survivors Panel is to enable victims and survivors of human trafficking to influence UK policy and research through the lens of equality and inclusion. It is also an opportunity for them to participate in research activities as part of research consultative panels.
Through the lived experiences of the survivor panel, members are able to critique research development, service development and share knowledge and ideas to ensure improvement in sector delivery.
Recently, members of our survivors’ panel took part in an MS-PEC Funded research project led by University of Sheffield on the prevention of modern slavery in the UK. They were able to contribute knowledge and ideas based on their lived experiences to inform the research project.
The BASNET Survivors Panel is a safe haven for Victims and Survivors of Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking to receive support and support each other through their journey. This is a closed group.
